50044 + 50049 Manchester - Minehead & Return. 18/10/2008
Saturday 18th October 2008, A well spent day behind two english electric class 50s name and numberd 50 044 Exeter & 50 049 Defiance. This charter set off from Manchester around 06:00am and heading down to Minehead for 12:15pm, After joining the charter at Bristol Temple Meads, the powerful pair let hellfire commence for the rest of the journey! We then called at Minehead where the hoovers sucked up all the attention of the hundreds that turned up to capture them! After sorting out a problem that occurred with 50 044 Exeter, the couple ran round and prepared themselves for a long hellfire journey back up north to Manchester. When arriving back into Bristol Temple Meads, The long lasted memorable day for myself came to an end and what an end it was! 50049 & 50044 gave the departing passengers a delightfull finish to there day with horns,clag and a heavy hellfire deparuture! a great day spent behind x2 class 50s down to the sunny south Minehead.
