For auction is a lot of 3 vintage books.The lot includes:

Fun Fare,A Treasury of Reader’s Digest Wit and Humor (H/B) , copyright 1949,1st Edition, selected by the editors of the Reader’s Digest in collaberation with Bob Hope,Bennett Cerf,Groucho Marx,ect. and illustrated by Robert Day. The book is in very nice condition,with 313 clean,flat and unmarked pages, jacket has very light wear/soiling,binding is tight.

Hoyle’s Official Rules of Card Games,(P/B) copyright 1947, 256 pages, the book is in good/well used condition,the pages are flat,clean and unmarked,there are 4 or 5 with tears(not to bad), jacket shows some wear,binding is good.

The Home Book of Party Games (H/B) ,copyright 1944,by Jerome S.Meyer , 351 clean,flat and unmarked pages(some darkening and spotting on cover pages), the jacket is in good condition with light wear,but is covered with a clear wide tape (like box/packing tape) I guess to keep it clean. It really isn’t to bad,they did a pretty good job of it.

7th Women Lifestyle Exhibition LEGAL PROBLEMS 18-19,June 2008
Punjab Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) organized an exhibition at PC Hotel June 18-19, 2008. SMEDA provided 5o% sponsorship in the stall fee to 10 entrepreneurs and 3 entrepreneurs were facilitated in getting the stall in the exhibition. During this two day exhibition, apart from assisting Stallholders in displaying their products in exhibition, SMEDA also set-up the awareness desk for information on SMEDA projects and activities especially WBIC of the exhibitors and visitors. During this exhibition over 75 women visited our desk for general information on SMEDA services and WBIC. It was the result of the team effort that Dr. Shehla Javaid Akram, President WCCI in her opening and concluding speech stated 'SMEDA as the co-partner of the event and thanked SMEDA for elevating this exhibition to a Nation-wide representative exhibition wherein SMEDA sponsored ladies from Muzafrabad, Quetta, Bhawalpur, Multan and this kind of commitment/ support for promotion of women entrepreneurs is needed from government to motivate women' in presence of Honourable First Lady of Pakistan Mrs. Fouzia Gillani Chief Guest for closing ceremony and Honourable Minister for Excise and Taxation-Punjab Mr. Mujtaba-ur-Rehman, Chief Guest for opening ceremony. Honourable First Lady of Pakistan Mrs. Fouzia Gillani applauded efforts of organizers to bring together over 55 Women Entrepreneurs and Women Support Institutions in 7 th Women Lifestyle Exhibition. The highlight of the event was the announcement of best stall award. The winners of night were Ms. Ammara (Jewellery Designer from Peshawar ), Ms. Ayesha (Fashion Designer from Karachi ) and Mrs. Musharaf Ijaz (Handicrafts from Muzafrabad). Mrs. Musharaf Ijaz, won the best stall award in the exhibition based on her product designing and potential to expand her business. The stalls were evaluated by panel of experts including Mr. Shaan- Actor, Ms. Musarrat Misbah -- Beauty Expert, Ms. Hina Tayyaba - Fashion Expert and Ms. Aisha Amjad Mir- PD WBIC. The exhibition was very well attended and opened by Mr. Mujtaba-ur-Rehman on first day who really valued the efforts and courage of women coming from Balochistan and Muzafrabad to Lahore to display their crafts. I will like to thank all who supported this event, particularly CEO SMEDA for enabling us to participate in this exhibition. The efforts of SMEDA Outreach Division (Mr. Iqbal Kidwai inputs during the exhibition and its arrangements, Mr. Javaid Khattak & Ms. Rehma from Peshawar, Mr. Alamgir for mobilizing his team including PD GBC, Mr. Dillawar, Ms. Esma Mariam, RBC Rawalpindi, and RBC Multan) and AHAN (Mr. Naveed Sheikh, Ms. Hira & Mr. Sami Yazdani from Punjab, Mr. Tahir Malik from Balochistan, Mr. Shakeel Ahmad from Peshawar) from selection of appropriate ladies across Pakistan to on-ground assistance during the exhibition. SMEDA helpdesk managed by Mr. Mutee-ur-Rehman and Mr. Asad Humayun, at the exhibition must be acknowledge for their continued presence with me throughout this 2 days event as late as 12 pm midnight. Mr. Munawar Ahmed for photographing and video the event for posterity. And special thanks to Mr. Sultan Tiwana and Mr. Liaquat Ali Gohar for taking out time to visit the exhibition and encourage the exhibitors.
